Preveza Chamber and the Public Vocational Training Institute of Preveza organized jointly event titled: “Training & Olive Oil” in the framework of the cross-border project: “AUTHENTIC-OLIVE-NET – ”Certification of Authenticity and Development of a Promotion Network olive products in the across border GREECE – ITALY area”, funded by the Operational Territorial Programme «Interreg V/A Greece-Italy 2014-20».

Many students and trainers attended with great interest the event organized at the premises of the Institute, as Thematic Interactive Workshop.

The event opened with the welcome speeches of Mr. Anagnostakis Ioannis, Director of the D.I.E.K. Preveza, and Mr  Bouris Ioannis, President of Preveza Chamber.  The event opened with the welcome speeches of Mr. Anagnostakis Ioannis, Director of the D.I.E.K. Both of them highlighted the necessity of the closer co-operation among the 2 institutes aiming at providing high quality vocational training to the local youngsters, via the signing of a relevant MoU.

Then, and after the presentation of the project AUTHENTIC-OLIVE-NET by Mrs. Irini Syllleli, Agronomist, Expert of EURICON CONSULTANTS, a round of speeches followed on issues dealing with the Olive Oil and Gastronomy by Mr. Panagiotis Katsaris, Head of Olive Oil Quality Certification Laboratory of ELGO-DIMITRA, and Mr. Anastasios Tolis, Head of the Chefs’ Club in Epirus.

A simulation of an Olive Oil Taste procedure followed by Mr Takis Dimitrakopoulos, Member of a Certified Organoleptic Check Group of SEVITEL, with the interactive participation of the attended students and trainers.

Finally, the event closed with a round of discussion among the participants in the workshop.
